I am the editor of The Bridge, a community magazine in Bridport, Dorset, that’s supported by the Anglican Church.
This job uses all my skills – writing, subediting, design and layout. Since I took over in late March 2020, I have transformed The Bridge from a functional but traditional parish magazine to a lively publication for the whole town, with content of interest to people of all faiths and none. This has included a total redesign (October 2020) and a move to full colour printing.
We print 6,000 copies of the magazine and our team of volunteers deliver nearly all of them direct to residential addresses across Bridport. Copies are also available to pick up in a few shops and cafes.
